We understand it can be intimidating to be under the laser’s beam, so we strive to make each session as comfortable as possible. Some form of local anesthesia, such as a topical anesthetic cream, may be applied before treatment.
Eye shields are used to protect your eyes from the laser light. A hand piece is placed against the surface of your skin and the laser light is activated. A high-intensity laser breaks the coloured pigments of the tattoo into small fragments that are then removed by the body’s immune system. The laser is intense, but treatments are quick in order to be effective without causing scarring.
After each session, particularly following the initial treatments, the treated skin can become red and swollen. It is normal to experience some mild pain or discomfort for up to forty-eight hours following treatment. In most cases, pain can be managed by applying an ice pack to the affected area
